It is the Marquis Marc de la Haye who decided to buy the 220 acres of the isle known as “l'île l'Homme”, located in the handle of Le Vaudreuil, aiming ultimately at building a golf course.

Right from the beginning, the course hosts important competitions such as the Normandy Cup or the French Junior Championships.

Its club House, ranked as one of the best in France, is a barn from the seventeenth century found in Thiberville, near Bernay and that was taken apart brick by brick to be reassembled on the estate.

Since May 2008, golf lover, corporate director, and new owner of the domain, Jean-Claude Forestier tries his best to breathe new life into this exceptional course. A short game academy has been set up and is the first one of its kind in France.
